{take me back to the weekend!}

Right now it is 7:17 p.m.

my house is messy, very messy
my children are cranky
my husband is working
i have no idea what i'm going to eat for dinner
don't worry...the girls are fed! :)
and there are eight loads of laundry on my bed

It's one of those days that gives Monday a bad name. I just want a hot bath and bedtime.

I want to go back to the weekend full of sunshine, the fun day at the river with good friends, my fearless girl riding the tube for the very first time, the look of excitement on her face, me feeling nervous thinking her daddy better not let her fall off, my babygirl enjoying a boat ride and sitting totally still for once and muncing on an apple without a care in the world.

All of that and not the first picture, I wasn't sure I'd have the time to have the camera and control the girls on the boat so we chose to leave it in the truck. Not the next time you can bet that!

  1. No pictures?! :( Sounds like both of us have our own little fishies for children! Carter came home, and insisted that he bathe in my tub last night so that he could show me how to swim...had it been deep enough, I think he could have! :)

    Hoping today was better and brighter for you! If it makes you feel better, I'll be flying solo for 5 more nights! ;0

  2. I'm starting to think Mondays have to stink it up so we appreciate our weekends more. I sure hope Tuesday was better and things only get brighter as you head towards another beautiful weekend!

About Me

My photo
I am a photographer focused on infant, child, family, maternity, couples and senior photography. I shoot on location, at the location of your choice, in natural light.

I have loved taking pictures for as long as I can remember - anyone who knows me can tell you that. There is just something about it that makes me smile. After the birth of my first daugther, Delaney, my passion for photography ignited. 33 months later came her baby sister, Avery. I have had my camera in my hand every day since. There isn't a moment I want to miss... the tiny toes, the drool, the smiles, the simple things. My girls are my inspiration for everything. You will often find me in the background snapping those natural moments in life that I don't want to see people forget. Sometimes the best photographs are the ones that are unposed and candid. I love the feeling of capturing such sweet moments and will strive to bring your memories to life in a way that you love.
